Why Do Mushrooms Grow In Random Places?
Mushroom fungi feed on and degrade old tree roots, stumps, leaves, and other organic material. Some Armillaria mushrooms are the fruiting bodies of a fungal disease that causes root rot in trees and shrubs. Clusters of honey-colored mushrooms may form at the base of an infected plant.

It could be a mushroom. Your potting mix may contain bark, which could be a food supply for the fungi. It will not harm your plant, but new mushrooms may appear irregularly when the weather is favorable.

How to Get Rid of Mushrooms Growing in Your Lawn
Toadstools, often known as mushrooms, are fungal fruiting body. The underground portion of the fungus feeds on rotting wood, such as old tree roots, a stump (above), or lumber that was mistakenly buried during building. Once the fungus has dissolved the wood, their food source is gone, and the mushrooms on your lawn will go.

If you are concerned about children or pets eating the toadstools, rake them up and remove them. Otherwise, wait for drier weather and see them vanish until the next rainy season.

Pro tip: Mushrooms and toadstools can be d.e.a.d.l.y and harmful. Never eat anything in the outdoors or in your backyard without consulting an expert.
